Centre for General Art Works (Batic, Screen Printing, Painting, Drawing, Lettering and Many more)
Syridion Rweyendela – After School Art Club was established in order to provide art education to stakeholders and promote art in the country. It aims to connect artisans of handcrafts and provide advice to art groups in the country.
Additionally, with art groups both locally and internationally through BASATA . the idea behind is to develop its followers in the field of art by providing them with workshops and seminars and sending them to various colleges within the country and abroad if the club’s economy allows.
The vision also includes inspiring young talent to see art not just as a hobby, but as a viable career path and a tool for social transformation. By encouraging creativity, collaboration, and cultural pride, the club hopes to nurture a new generation of artists who can influence their communities positively and represent Tanzanian art on global platforms
The club will provide club members who have interest in art, an opportunity to explore art and craft forms beyond what is offered in the curriculum. It will teach club members to build self-esteem and develop inter personal skills.
The club will also create art that speaks to human condition and encourage an inter personal response from viewers that the club members must be in touch with their own emotions.
Through various artistic mediums such as drawing, painting, batik, and screen printing, members will be guided to express personal stories and social commentary. These activities not only build technical ability but also encourage critical thinking and emotional growth, fostering well-rounded individuals.
As members engage in group projects, exhibitions, and community-based artwork, they learn teamwork, responsibility, and leadership. The club serves as both a creative outlet and a nurturing space where talents are recognized, passions are shaped, and the potential of every young artist is brought to light.
The club offers its members opportunities to explore art beyond what is offered in traditional schooling. Our goal is to help build confidence, creativity, and interpersonal skills through meaningful artistic experiences.
We are committed to creating a supportive environment where members feel safe to experiment and express themselves freely. By providing access to diverse art forms and mentorship, we encourage continuous learning and personal growth that extends beyond the classroom.
Furthermore, we strive to connect our members with broader artistic communities and professional networks. This ensures they have opportunities to showcase their work, participate in exhibitions, and gain exposure that can open doors to future careers in the arts.
We believe that art can drive social change. Our projects encourage members to create artworks that inspire dialogue, represent local culture, and address social issues within our community and beyond.
By engaging with diverse audiences through exhibitions, workshops, and public installations, the club fosters a deeper understanding and appreciation of art’s role in reflecting society’s challenges and hopes. This active participation helps build stronger, more connected communities empowered by creative expression.
Our future focuses on expanding our reach, collaborating with international art communities, and continuously nurturing the next generation of talented artists. We strive to build an art hub that remains a source of inspiration and growth for all.
We plan to leverage new technologies and digital platforms to showcase our members' work globally, providing greater visibility and opportunities for artistic exchange. By embracing innovation alongside tradition, we aim to empower artists to thrive in a rapidly evolving creative landscape.
